Sheila Crye CCP was chosen by the Library of Congress to select books from its surplus to send to the Boyd Library of the National Food and Beverage Foundation in New Orleans where LDEI has its collection of Dames-authored books. The Boyd Library accepts books in all languages, all publication dates, all cuisines, about all agricultural products (e.g. rice, wheat, sardines, etc.) and beverages and the food system as a whole. Books about Louisiana and the Gulf South take precedence followed by other southern states and the Caribbean and Puerto Rico. Thus far, Sheilah has culled and sent 189 books.

Moorenko's also will open a pop-up at Rio in Gaithersburg by Memorial Day, with plans for a long term shop early next year. Janet Yu was mentioned in the Sunday, May 12 edition of the Washington Post Magazine as Tim Carman's guest as he dined and reviewed Chef Guo, a VERY high end Chinese restaurant in Alexandria. She interpreted for him and gave him some insights to the special preparations of Chinese imperial banquet food.
