Best thing about being a DC Dame: Learning from the amazing women in the group. My most rewarding highlight of my career: When Susan Orlean (whom I stalked on Twitter) agreed to have lunch with me. Funniest or most embarrassing thing that has ever happened in my career: The list is endless. But it was the day I was trying to help fellow Dame Amy Riolo and almost trashed the table holding all her amazing food samples. If I wasn't in this career, I'd be an: Unemployed engineer Best thing about the DC food scene: It is so vibrant and so diverse now. Favorite kitchen tool: A sharp knife My thoughts about the future of food and wine for this country: Very intriguing. As long as we get over trends like bone broth and kale My motto: Never give up.
