  REINVENTING RESTAURANTS:  An Insider's Look at Pivoting in a Pandemic

A Les Dames d'Escoffier Zoom Panel (For members and the public)

 Monday, June 1, 2020
  8 -9:15 p.m.
From dinner clubs to brunch boxes to employee relief fund drives, leading local female restaurateurs and members of the Washington D.C. chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier will delve into the details of how their establishments met the challenges posed by the COVID crisis.
  • ·       What worked and what didn’t;
  • ·       What reviving in-house dining will look like for customers and for them;
  • ·       Their plans to keep staff and diners safe while turning a profit;
  • ·       What lasting changes or improvements will emerge from this painful period.
The panelists represent a cross section of restaurants and locations, so each will bring a unique set of circumstances and perspectives. They will also touch on silver linings: What they learned from this experience that might ultimately allow them to better serve their customers and communities.
