Join Barbara Haber as she talks about the life of her close friend, Julia Child. As curator of books at the Schlesinger Library at Harvard University's Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, Barbara developed a major culinary collection and helped make food history an important topic of academic research and publication. She was inducted into the James Beard Foundation's Who's Who in American Food and Beverages, and received the 1998 M.F.K. Fisher Award from Les Dames d'Escoffier International. A wonderful luncheon will be prepared by DC Dame and chef/owner Ris Lacoste. Ris also was close to Julia Child and hosted her 90th birthday dinner in DC.
