El Tamarindo is the longest standing Hispanic-owned business in Washington, DC, serving authentic Salvadoran and Mexican cuisine for over 40 years. Located in the heart of Adams Morgan, it is a family-run community landmark, convening neighbors, political leaders, families, and friends for its world famous pupusas.

Dame Ana Reyes is now the managing partner of the restaurant her parents created and has modernized and expanded its offerings. Beyond the delicious pupusas, El Tamarindo is a link to the Salvadorean community, selling colorful and sustainable bags to support women artisans in El Salvador.

Metro: The Dupont Circle or U Street Cardozo Stations are both about .5 miles away.
