#WomenLead: Building Women Leaders in the Culinary Industry
Wednesday, February 20th 12:30 pm Women make up the majority of the culinary workforce but not the majority of executive chefs, investors or owners of their own businesses. It's more important than ever before to change that paradigm. In today's culinary culture there are women working hard to create value programming empowering women to attain their goals and become culinary leaders. In this webinar you'll hear from two culinary luminaries, Katherine Miller, from the James Beard Foundation and Joanna James, creator of the award winning film "A Fine Line." Both are working tirelessly to develop and amplify inventive ways to mentor and launch women into leadership. They'll share how they are empowering others to lead through women-focused programming they have integrated into the culinary community. Having gone from reporter to filmmaker, entrepreneur to women's rights organizer, now as a wife and mother, Joanna has found her calling. "There is no greater love I have than that for my family, but I refuse to be coerced into sitting on the sidelines instead of having a seat at the table.
